Ear Hustle: “Cellies”

In a mediascape saturated with true crime podcasts and prison dramas, Ear Hustle is something different. Its hosts, Earlonne Woods and Antwan Williams, are both serving prison terms in San Quentin. Along with Nigel Poor, an artist who works with prisoners, they give listeners insight into daily prison life. Start with episode one, “Cellies,” about how to negotiate space and relationships when you share a 4′ x 9′ prison cell. Season 1 has ten episodes for you to binge, and season 2 starts in March 2018.
